Ten Interview Questions for the Next Big Thing:
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? The first draft took about three months to complete. Rewrites/edits/getting critiques are not yet complete.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Any books incorporating epic fantasy, evolving dragons, quests, romance and family history.
Who or What inspired you to write this book? A little of life, discovering my birth mother, a little imagination and love of dragons, magic and all things fantasy.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? This series follows Archie's journey to self discovery, finding his family, realizing his own self worth doesn't rely on his heritage, and the old adage 'man is the maker of his own fortune'.

Mary, I know that as book two develops, even given it has milestones to follow, things can happen that may cause scenes in book one to need tweaking. Thanks for dropping in.
Rosalie, that's a plot if ever there was one. Something all of us can relate to, adopted or not. That deep-rooted to know our "roots".

To be able to bring to your story your own experiences certainly will make it all the more richer. Kudos, and I envy you for finishing the rough draft in 3 months:) Must write faster!

Life equips us with heaps of material for our novels, doesn't it! Even fantasy novels.
Sara, When the muse is on fire, it is such a pleasure writing. The words flow. Even so, I still don't think the ending is complete. It's been rounded off for those beta readers who insist on finding out what happens next... but I don't feel it's right. Not yet. Sadly, the second novel isn't coming together so well. Characters refuse to behave. Slows the words down to a trickle.
