Summer Heat is here finally...

Whoa, today the temp has hit 31deg C. For those in the north, who count in Farenheit ... that's WARM. The sun is shining and for the first time this summer the air conditioner is ON. I think once lunch is over we might adjourn to the pool.
Hopefully this sunshine and breeze is drying out some of the floods across the state and not blowing more rain their way.
Meanwhile Christmas shopping is almost done and the cupboards are filling fast.
Prayers going out to our Muse friends who are facing rough days this Christmas.

Smell them... yumm... Christmas is the perfect time to break the diet and indulge.
I have to resist the temptation to bake. You don't get thanked for heating the house with the oven on.
6 deg is our average Winter overnight low. A wonderful temperature to bake and consume warm sweet goodies.

2 days later .... surrounded by ginger snaps... that woman is magnificent... so glad I married her...

.... we usually create goodies baskets that goes out to children (all grown up, but you know how it goes) who live respectively in Surrey and Toronto, and a few select friends who know just how bribe-able we are ... I suspect tomorrow might be chocolate chip cookies.

Stop!!! I am trying NOT to bake. Even in our over 30deg heat. You are making my mouth water. Now I have extra ingredients waiting for a cool day. WAIT... don't imagine the wafting scent of ginger snaps cooking. No... not choc chip cookies.
The diet is out the door!!!
